The Order Of The Day: Little Ones And Their Proper Order In The Wedding Party

by Mia Bolaris-Forget (Staff Writer)

Even if you’re not big on tradition, when it comes to weddings, and although you may be host more of a contemporary than classic event, there are some rules and regulations everyone generally sticks to. And, one of those deals with the bridal party and the order in which they walk down the aisle and take their places, including the flower girl and ring bearer.

These two cuties usually walk down the aisle single file or side-by-side, following the groomsmen and bridesmaids, and just before you, the bride. Older children can take their place up front for the entire ceremony, while younger kids can take a seat with mom and dad. Those that stay for the “main event can stand up front with the rest of the wedding party. But, it’s best that they are in a position where they can still see mom and dad, and parents can see them too.
