Your first time, dancing as husband and wife that is, has traditionally followed your formal announcement as Mr. and Mrs. But, experts suggest that many modern day Mr. and Mrs. are bucking tradition and setting their own trends. In fact, they note that when a couple chooses to have their first formal dance as husband and wife depends on the personality and the type of party they are having. Typically the DJ is set to go right after the cocktail hour or before the first course. However, if you’re hosting a more formal reception, they suggest waiting until after the toasts or just before dessert.
